Building a career on Upwork

Profile, proposals, pricing and delivery, from six years and 250+ contracts on Upwork.

I freelanced on Upwork from 2015 to 2021 and completed more than 250 contracts, mostly WordPress, Laravel and React work. This course is the profile, proposal and pricing system I built over those years, with the mistakes left in.

No course can promise you work or a particular income on Upwork. Your skill, your market and the platform all play a part. What this course can do is help you avoid the mistakes that cost me most in my early years.

How it runs

It is self-paced. Short video lessons, in order: profile, proposals, pricing, delivery and reviews, then long-term clients. Start today and apply each part to your own profile as you go.

What you will build

A rewritten profile, a proposal approach you can reuse, a clear way to price fixed and hourly work, and a plan for turning good one-off jobs into ongoing clients.

What you’ll be able to do

  • Write a profile that filters for good clients
  • Send proposals that get replies
  • Price fixed and hourly work correctly
  • Handle milestones, communication and reviews on a contract
  • Turn one-off jobs into retainers
Who it’s for
  • New freelancers setting up an Upwork profile
  • Freelancers who send proposals and hear nothing back
  • Anyone with a digital skill to sell: development, design, writing or marketing
Before you start

A skill you can sell. Nothing else.

Taught by Numan Hussain
I started freelancing in 2013, completed 250+ Upwork contracts, led product teams at Worldview International Group and founded Devute. Every course is built from what I still do for clients every week. I teach in Bangla and English.
Questions
No. Nobody can honestly promise that. The course shows you what worked for me and what did not, so you can make better decisions with your own profile.
