Team audit and strategy

Two weeks inside your marketing or development team, then a plan you can act on.

Who this is for

You are about to make an expensive decision: hire a developer or a marketer, buy a new platform, replace an agency, or rebuild the website. Before you do, you want someone independent to look at what you already have and tell you plainly what is working, what is not, and what it would cost to fix.

How it works

Two weeks, fixed price. Every engagement I take on starts with a short audit; this is the full version, sold on its own.

  • Read everything. The code, the hosting, the analytics, the ad accounts, the backlog and the support inbox if there is one.
  • Talk to the people. Short interviews with the team and your suppliers about what slows them down.
  • Write the plan. What to fix, what to build, what to stop, and what each costs, in order of priority.
  • Present it. A session with the partners or founders to walk through the findings and answer questions.

What you get

  • Technical and marketing audit covering code, infrastructure, search, paid and measurement, because the problems usually sit between them.
  • Interviews with the team, so the plan reflects how the work really gets done.
  • A prioritised 90-day plan with costs that you can act on with your own team, another supplier or me.
  • A presentation to partners or founders, written without jargon.

On Find Visa Counsellor the rebuild started with two weeks reading the codebase, analytics and support inbox, which produced the phased roadmap the leadership team signed off.

What it is not

It is not a sales exercise for a bigger contract. The plan is yours, and it is written so anyone competent could carry it out. Sometimes the honest answer is that your current suppliers are fine and need clearer direction, and the report will say so.

Questions people ask

How much does it cost? It is fixed price, from £2,500, quoted before we start. You know what the plan costs before anything is built.

How quickly can you start? Audits usually start within two weeks.

What about confidentiality? NDA before we start, and no client data leaves your systems. I have worked inside law firms and understand the obligations.

If you are close to a big decision, a 30-minute call will tell us whether an audit is worth doing first.

Need someone who has done this before?

A 30-minute call is enough to tell whether I can help. If I cannot, I will say so and point you to someone who can.
